About the Chamber

The Bel Aire Area Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2008 to promote local business interests and civic engagement with the greater community. A small, dedicated membership base has worked hard to build and strengthen the organization. The all volunteer Board of Directors is dedicated to the success of this organization and is committed to pursuing membership growth.

Mission Statement

The Bel Aire Area Chamber of Commerce has been established to foster a medium for enriching the lives of the citizens and businesses of Bel Aire, fostering communication between government and business, promote business and community growth, interact within the community utilizing civic, social and cultural activities and other purposes.

Chamber Goals

The Bel Aire Area Chamber of Commerce has established general goals. In the coming years the Chamber will work to accomplish the following goals and meet all other challenges as occur they occur.

• The Chamber will continue to focus on retaining and expanding businesses as well as recruitment of new members. The Chamber will work with employers to develop strategies to bring more potential employees to the community.
• The Chamber will seek new avenues to inform members and the public about business developments, programs and services, including the development of an online database of area businesses.
• The vitality of the community depends upon the quality of leadership. The Chamber will continue to sponsor leadership events and training to develop and encourage leaders who will be willing and able to successfully guide community organizations and activities.
  

Membership Benefits

The Bel Aire Area Chamber of Commerce offers its members many benefits including publication in the business directory, sponsorship opportunities, networking opportunities, access to government officials, professional development, and recognition.  This year one of our members (Ruth's HomeWorks Inc.) received the 2010 Business Appreciation Month Merit Award from the Kansas Department of Commerce.  For more information on what the Bel Aire Area Chamber of Commerce can offer your business visit our membership page.

Meetings

The Bel Aire Area Chamber of Commerce on the first Wednesday of every month.  The meetings are usually held in the Community Room of City Hall (7651 E. Central Park Ave; Bel Aire, KS 67226).  A short business meeting takes place at the beginning and then industry leaders serve as guest speakers who address issues our members are currenlty facing.  Anyone interested in the Chamber is welcome to attend a meeting.  To see when the next meeting will take place, view our 2010 Calendar.
