Beginning September 15, Bel Aire will transition from Stage 2 drought restrictions to a permanent three-day-per-week watering schedule for outdoor irrigation systems. If drought conditions reemerge, additional measures will take effect, as outlined in the Municipal Water Conservation Plan.
Weekly Watering Days
To determine your weekly watering days, simply check the last digit of your home address:
- If your address ends in an odd number (1,3,5,7,9), you can water on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
- If your address ends in an even number (0,2,4,6,8), you can water on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
- No watering on Mondays
To reduce water loss to evaporation and make the most of every drop, watering is not permitted between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please restrict irrigation to the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and from 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on your designated watering days.
Well Water Users
Properties using well water or naturally fed ponds are exempt from these restrictions.
Variance Requests
Variances to the 3 day per week watering schedule can be requested for the establishment of new turf seed and sod and limited special circumstances. Hand watering and other exempt actions do not require a variance request.
- Turf Seed (30 days)
- Turf Sod (21 days)
- Special circumstances
