TRAFFIC UPDATE:
Phase 1 of construction on East 53rd Street North will be starting on Tuesday, May 28
for the installation of crossroad pipes under the street.
This will require 53rd to be closed from Oliver St to Pinecrest St –
with half of Pinecrest closed and the other half open for traffic.
All traffic to this area will need to enter and exit 53rd from Woodlawn.
This phase of construction is expected to last through Friday, June 7th (weather permitting).
Construction on 53rd Street is planned to continue in phases throughout the summer.
We will work to keep social media channels, the Bel Aire city website,
and on-street digital signage current with as much advanced notification as possible.
Staff is working on an overall phasing plan for the project to give residents directly affected a heads up on future phasing.
