[ARCHIVED] Algae Advisory | Eagle Lake Park

Algae watch advisory signage notifying residents that blue-green algae has been detected.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a Watch Advisory for blue-green algae at Eagle Lake after detecting elevated cell counts. Visitors are advised to use caution and avoid areas of accumulation. Do not let people or pets eat dried algae or drink untreated water. KDHE plans to resample the lake on August 11 to determine if conditions have changed.
